Comments from GREG VAIL - "The MACSAX EMPYREAL alto has an ease of playing thru the full range of the saxophone. The tone is pleasant with good center, not very spread sounding or loud. It is an easy player. The set up was excellent. The ergonomics in the key design felt great, comfortable and I found no real issues there. Playing the MACSAX did not limit me in any way. All of these saxophones tested today were very different from my regular instruments and required some time to find the pitch and develop a sound concept. As I played the alto, it did start to open up for me and speeding around on this little thing was easy and fun. The Altissimo and overtones seemed solid. My regular fingerings worked well and responded with ease. This is a nice option for the price range and value. The MACSAX EMPYREAL alto delivers well in every area."
