A Custom-Built, Black Korina guitar body finished in Nitrocellulose Lacquer.

Greetings fellow guitar players/enthusiasts! What I have hear is something that you will not see often. This body was originally supposed to be part of a project to build a semi-custom made dream guitar a few years ago. Through a trade, I was able to get my hands on some Black Korina guitar body blanks with the intent to turn each into a dream instrument. If you see guitars made with Korina, they are nearly always from limited runs from the builder/manufacturer and they usually have price tags to match.

Korina is highly valued as a tone wood but consistent supplies of it seem to be a rarity, even for the big guitar building names like Gibson and PRS.
Here are the specs:
-Telecaster body shape-Strat style forearm and belly cuts (added for comfort)
-H-S-H pickup configuration-Rear routed control cavity with cover-Controls for 1 volume, 1 tone, and Strat style pickup selector
-Neck pocket routed to fit Strat neck-Drilled to take a fixed bridge with strings that are through-body like any Tele.
-Finished in a custom-ordered Nitrocellulose lacquer in metallic green, another feature that you don\'t see on guitars much these days either.-Additional feature!
-this body had NEVER been used.

My plans to turn it into a playable guitar were halted when the economy turned a few years ago and so the body has been sitting in its box ever since. Looks as if I am not going to do anything with it for quite some time to come, and so I have decided to see if I can sell it to anyone who want to turn it into what could be a great guitar.

You could buy a Korina body from an outfit like Warmoth. It would likely run you about $450-$500 but it would be finished with thick polyurethane, and wouldn\'t have the tone preserving qualities of Nitro. To build a body like I have here from the same wood and give it the same finish would cost you about $600-$700 and you would have to wait 6-7 weeks. This is ready to put whatever you want to put into it RIGHT NOW, with the added plus of an exotic tone wood and a thin Nitro finish!

The asking price is $450 plus $30 for S & H. I have posted a few photos for the listing but I have more for anyone who requests them Anyone who wants to know more about this body need only send me an email and I will respond ASAP.
