*RARE* Vintage PROFESSIONAL Gemeinhardt~Excellent Cond - $3800

A vintage or rare instrument collector\\\'s dream! The Story: Only a handful of this very special model was made by Gemeinhardt in 1985 before being discontinued. This is the Professional Plateau model (Close-holed) of the now popular 3SSB & 33SSB (Open-holed) Professional Flute series from Gemeinhardt in today\\\'s market. The value in this piece is in its RARITY. There are millions of professional, solid silver flutes manufactured, but few in this condition for it\\\'s age & even fewer with this model#~ 2SSB. I am the second owner of this flute and have owned it for the last 10 years. The original owner purchased it from Gemeinhardt in 1985 and played it very seldom. I played it in a Detroit area symphony for 2 seasons and cared for it like a baby. I called gemeinhardt in 2003 (when they were still giving value estimates based on serial number over the phone) to establish the value of the flute for our insurance policy. I was told at that time about the rarity of my purchase and that its value was upwards of $5,000.00. The Flute: The pads are the originals to the best of my knowledge (obviously this flute was played very lightly for it\\\'s age)and as you can see from the photos are in FANTASTIC condition as I meticulously cleaned after every use and used moisture rods on the interior.
