Classic Ampeg V4 Guitar Amp, Circa 1972ish, In Great Condition! - $550

Up for sale is this killer Ampeg V4 guitar amp. It is in like new condition with only a few minor scraps on the back side. The schematic says 6-70 but this one is from around 1972ish. All the knobs are original and all the lights work. I bought this around 1980 or 1981 from a local music store and used it for a while to play my bass through. Then I bought an Ampeg SVT made in 1969 or 1970 and used the SVT instead. This has been sitting unused for years now, probably why its still in such great shape. Some of the pots are a bit scratchy so you will need to clean them and take it in to a reputable repair shop who works on tube amps and have them give it a good tune up and cleaning. This amp has been modified a bit, an overdrive has been added some time in the past. Its the knob between the reverb knob and standby switch. Its doesn\\\\\\\'t effect the sound of the amp at all if its not turned on. The original 7027A\'s have not been modified though. I don\'t think I have ever changed the tubes but they should still be in good shape. The way technology has grown with tubes these days, I would just purchase all new tubes for it anyway. I played my bass through it a few days ago and it sounds great. Every thing works great on it, even the spring reverb. The only thing that will need to be replaced is the bottom rubber feet, 2 are in good shape but the other 2 are gone. I think I still have the original cloth front cover for it but can\'t find it as of yet. You can get original replacement cloth online in case I can\'t find the original one. I changed the cloth back in the 80\'s during my classic rock/ heavy metal days. This sale is for local pick-up only. Its to dangerous to try to ship something this fragile and heavy.
